This review is to let people know about the long wait times this office has. Multiple times I have visited this office for doctor appointments, arriving on time, only to wait 30-45 minutes to actually see my doctor. The most recent visit I had, my appointment was at 11:30 AM and by 12:30 PM I still had not been seen. I ended up leaving the office while still getting billed for the office visit. This happens because the office is understaffed. Because Urgent Care patients are distributed to the staff and are seen in front of the actual appointments. This is not the staff's fault, this is the situation. However, it is ridiculous to follow the rules, arrive on time for my appointment, and wait an hour without seeing my doctor. This should not happen in a first-world country. It is ridiculous that others can jump the line and be seen in front of me, because I am not "sick enough" to be a priority.

This was my first visit since moving to NC and noticed their parking lot can get full quickly esp since they share parking lot with the facility across from them but nevertheless the building once you walk in is absolutely gorgeous and the exam rooms compliment the entire style and is very cohesive. My provider, Lydia Teague, is absolutely amazing, funny and thorough and explained all the services they offer in house such as blood work which is crucial because it saves you an extra step from going to a different facility in order to get the results needed. They utilize a portal that provides a lot of features such as blood work results and notes from the visit. I schedule a follow up for next year and look forward to utilizing their services.

I personally wont come back and will take my family and find another practice. Prior to moving to Sylva, i had an amazing practice and doctor i saw for 10 years, did 3 month prescriptions. This practice wont do prescriptions for more than 1 month. No 3 month refills on prescriptions that arent controlled or a narcotic. They have to see you every month. They just want your money. Some of the women upfront are insensitive and rude. They make you feel like you are bothering them.

My wife had vertigo, so we went Saturday afternoon to have her checked. She has an infection in her left ear. The person who examined her prescribed several medications to help resolve her issues.

Went in with a severe respiratory infection, was tested for covid, strep, and a third thing and they didn't ever reach out, a week later I learn they never processed the tests to get the results. Meanwhile I am feverish and suffering, at that point sick for over 2 weeks. It took calling over 10 times (across three days) to get through to a person and they put us off until closing and didn't give us any information until my mom called the NEXT DAY and criticized their service strongly. Finally (over two weeks into a serious illness) prescribed antibiotics, they made a mistake and only gave me a half prescription (7 tablets of doxycycline when I need 14) and I had to call to resolve it, meaning two separate trips to the pharmacy in one day to get my needs met. I would strongly advise anyone with a choice to seek care elsewhere, this was exhausting and deeply disappointing to navigate.

It’s rare to feel like I’m in a South Park episode parody of a doctor but it happened here! After ten days of waiting for test results and badgering them every day they finally discovered they’d never sent out tests and quickly wrote a script which ended up being wrong! We had to drive another hour to get the right script which we had to write for ourselves! I would go anywhere else. Literally. Like, chick Filet.

Emily Crawford and staff are amazing. I have never had a primary care provider care as much as she does. She takes the time to listen to you as a patient, and she never tries to rush you through an appointment. She has been so good to my wife and I. We will never see anyone else.
